The Flexible Environmental Protection Barge has been completed at Søby Shipyard

FLEX-FEB's partner, Søby Shipyard, has now completed the construction of FEB-I, the world's first flexible environmental protection barge.

All parts of the barge have been pre-cut and pre-bent at one of FLEX-FEB's preferred subcontractors, SSI Metalindustri, and welded together at Søby Shipyard. Only a number of fittings and assembly of i.a. electrical systems remain, before the barge can be launched and tested in early 2022.

The photo shows the completed FEB-I mounted with scepters and deck plates, which enable traffic on board the barge.
